Late at night in Crown street, around the corner of a dark recess , had a shock: this is me at the age of six!

Alone at dusk in this empty street. She's just one block away from Oxford Street, a meeting place if there ever was one, but here... where's everybody? Is she scared? No. Lonely? Yes in a way, no not really. She strolls around with no other purpose than to open herself to the sights of the city sinking into the night. Her camera keeps her company. It's her purpose, her spirit, her soul. And when around the corner dusk turns to an unexpected purple and green, she's delighted with the gift. Without knowing it, this is what she'd been waiting for. This empty street at night made her day.

Elle marche le soir dans une rue vide. A deux pas d'Oxford Street, haut lieu des rencontres s'il en fut. Mais ici, personne. A-t-elle peur ? Non. Se sent-elle seule ? Oui vaguement, non pas vraiment. Elle déambule sans autre but que de s'ouvrir à cette ville qui s'enfonce dans la nuit. Son appareil photo lui tient compagnie, c'est son oeil, sa vie, son âme. Et quand au détour d'un immeuble le soir gris tourne au violet et au vert d'une manière totalement inattendue, elle est ravie. Elle a reçu ce qu'elle attendait. Cette rue vide, de nuit, lui a donné sa joie du jour.

Who left this mysterious and spooky warning on the pavement of Oxford Street? The full line "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes” is said by the second witch in Act IV scene 1 of William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. The phrase is also the tagline of the Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban movie. See the long shadow approaching, are you shivering yet?

Qui est le taggeur anonyme qui répand sur les trottoirs de Sydney cet inquiétant avertissement ? La phrase complète, ‘Au picotement de mes pouces je sens que le maudit vient par ici’ est dite par la deuxième sorcière à la scène 1 de l’Acte IV du Macbeth de Shakespeare. Elle a aussi été reprise comme sous-titre du film ‘Harrry Potter et le Prisonnier d’Azkaban’. Voici une ombre longue qui s'avance... Frissonnez, passants d'Oxford Street !
