Hot, hot, hot

There are some pretty spectacular beaches on the coast north of Sydney. Here at The Entrance there was this most unusual set of clouds above the lake yesterday at sunset and today we are getting a scorching hot westerly wind that seems to be blowing straight from the desert. Unusual, unusual. Is this global warming ?

Yeah, too hot! September is the month for westerly winds, but usually far cooler than this!

We had a particularly thin patch of the ozone layer pass above NZ yesterday (Sunday). The sea was height-if-the-summer green, the sun was so strong, and towards sunset, we almost wanted sunglasses in our own home (we have tinted windows.) Do you think all this had something to do with it?

Hey Nathalie;

Thanks for visiting and commenting. This is a beautiful image. I really like the reflection in the water.
