Paddington, mid-afternoon. Click on the image to enlarge it and you will better see the dark lady figure appearing in between the branches. It's the reflection of a portrait exhibited in a gallery in Glenmore Road. I love the eerie effect it adds to the street. I took this photo last week and walked past the same place again yesterday: the exhibition has changed, the buds on the tree have grown to leaves, this magic appearance can never be captured again. It will only live on through my photo.

Nice shot, an I love the fact that photos are completely unique at their own time of shooting. So much, as you say, can change in such a short time. Lighting can be a huge influence.Well done.
Glenmore Road has many memories for me Nathalie. A great, great grandmother had a small shop there at the Victoria Barracks end after her husband died in the 19th Century in Bega and she moved to the "big smoke". Further down one of her grandsons [my grandfather] taught at Glenmore Rd School. At the lower end, my brother and I used to play at Trumper Park for Sydney Naval Football Club.
Even as a kid I was nostalgic about the past, and I don't appear to be getting over it yet, do I?
Were you aware of the reflection when you took this picture?
Recently I took one in Denmark from a bus -- see http://baltic2006.blogspot.com/2006/06/hellerup-havn.html -- it was only later that I found out I'd taken the reflection which is possibly more interesting the photo I was originally taking.
Yes Gerald, I was aware of the reflection. In fact it's the lady's portrait I was interested in and I moved around so that it would find itself framed by the branches. So it's actually a very calculated photo. But you only find out what really comes out of it once you download it.
