Sailing away

Early morning on Neutral bay.
Grey skies over Sydney today, it suits my mood. It's my father who taught me to sail. In another time and place, one of these boats could have been his. Brings back lots of fond memories. What do sailboats evoke for you?

Temps gris sur Sydney aujourd'hui, ça me va bien.

While I don’t know if Australia (or France) celebrates Thanksgiving the same as we do, I wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving in any case. Thanks for all the kind words you have posted at my site over the past few months!

Question, Your “About Me” section has you living in ”Australie”. Is that the French spelling?

Both your previous photo and this one soothe my soul, Nathalie.

I can imagine myself on one of those smoothly sailig boats today.

Touching post yesterday, Nathalie. I can't remember where you live, but I hope as far away from the bush fire going on west (??) of Sydney now.

Hello from a spanish guy.
I'm from Galicia (nortwest spain), and for me the boats and all the things related with the sea remember me a very representative way of life in my region. Brave people, beautiful landscapes...

Nice photo Nathalie!!

This is a nice shot. I don't see sail boats very often because the winds are generally too high on the Oregon coast.

Nathalie Another picture which I think gives a fine insight into the Australian landscape - by the way I have a friend from Paris and she is wondering what her touristic priorities should be for a week in Sydney. What would yours be?

Merci

Sailboats mean summer days and lakes. And, you're teasing us again, Natalie, with these wonderful photos when you know our summer is over!!

I forgot to mention, I really like the colors in this shot. THe various shades of blue/gray offset by the bright green. Very Nice.

Photos like this curiously make boats appear to be floating above the water. Great shot.

Thanks to all of you for your comments and testimonies.
