Rock art, yesterday afternoon

On weekends I always spend a few hours by the sea. The beach is a five-minute walk from home, wouldn't it be a crime not to go? When I tire of the sand, I head for the rock platforms. Here raw art awaits, it's just a matter of framing. Late afternoon, after the harsh sun has gone, the shadows turn to blue. I pick a few salt-ringed dried out rockpools, push the contrast... et voila!

that's lovely. yeah, which beach is your 'local'? I guess for Pod, every beach from Bondi to Cavelli is his local, lucky sod!

Since that walk, I've been dreaming that one day I'll retire with a house overlooking the sea in Sydney. I'd like to make Manly my local. :)

'My' beach, Pod, is Shelly Beach on the Central coast and its sister beaches Bateau Bay and Toowoon Bay, and I've pottered around pretty much the whole of the central coast.

But I'd rate the stretch between Bondi and Bronte as my second home ground.

I love the imagination and the really great abstract shot.

It's beautiful! It makes me think of Van Gogh's Starry Night.

Amazing. Good catch... as usual.

Etonnant.

Thanks to all for your comments and appreciation, I really like this shot and I'm glad you enjoyed it too.

Yes Edwin, I'd love a house overlooking the sea in Sydney too, but I'm afraid it's not going to happen. I'll be to come to your place as a guest !

It looks... artificial, Nathalie. It looks like a paint job!! How fantastic.
