Peace

After remembering the atrocities of war, how not to dream of peace? White hand stretching out to black hand, black hand ready to hold white hand, background of flying doves. It's only a mural on the corner of Park and Pitt Streets, but it's up to us to look up to it for inspiration.

The painting is very nice and the message is clear. Is it just a "private" initiative? It's anyhow much nicer than most of the enormous commerical wall pictures you can now and then see, but I guess you also have some of those. However, such pictures sometimes cover an empty and ugly naked wall and can now and then be quite artistic. Maybe some photos to come?

Nicely said and better to look at than the side of the building. Your photo captured it perfectly.

The mural fits perfevtly the aspiration, "Things would be didfferent if only things were different"; but war will only become less likely when the problem is seen in terms of understanding the [often less than pleasant] realities of human nature, and the best methods of bringing about the channeling of our actions into directions more likely to succeed than simply relying upon that unquestionably true, but equally irrelevant hope,
"If only things were different, things would be different."

Main noire main blanche...
