On the pier

Still at the fish market, but on the pier this time.
Isn't it amazing that some people spend their days working in front of a computer in air-conditioned offices while others physically experience the wind, the waves and the pain in their arms of going out at sea fishing? It's a strange world we live in. My salute goes to the men to whom I owe the good fish in my plate.

What a coincidence! Went to the Fish Market here in Tokyo very early this morning... Will show you pictures.
Amazing experience as you can expect when you remember how much japanese people love rear fish...

You make a great point. Seeing these nets laid out is inspiring and makes me want to be out in the sun.

I liked your photo a lot because it also shows the thing that makes so much pain for so many fish. We never get to see things like this when we live near farms in Ohio. Yet it is the way we eat and the way people work so we can eat.
It is a reminder that not all food comes from the farm fields.

I came to thank you for visiting my blog, yesterday, and for your comments about Patty's last radiation treatment. She was so pleased that I heard from so many people, including Eric, and I know it made her day extra-special. She was also surprised that some of you also visited her blog and left comments there. So thank you for your visit and comments. Being new to the community, it was a big surprise to us. Thanks again.

This is a wonderful theme because it shows an important, vibrant side of Sydney life. The colours of the net are striking! And I love the white boots: these boots were made for fishing!!

Yes, fish markets are in touch with real activity and have a pulse about them. Fish is healthy delicious food by and large.
