Food, glorious food

Oh the rainbow lorikeets, they are so gorgeous. And with autumn yielding all sorts of fruits and bays, they are all over the gardens, rowdy groups screeching loudly in an unmistakable way. On this Saturday morning I can hear them now from my computer desk!

This is an amazing photo! The lorikeet is beautiful, so are the berries.

They're a beautiful species, and one which multiplied dramatically as a result of human activity. Despite their proclivity for waking sleepers too early, they're much more acceptable than the currawongs which, thanks to urban development increasing their numbers, do enormous damage to small bird populations.

... and you have this just on the other side of your window!

Fantastic colours!

... and obviously nice (?) "music" while you are "working".

Oh yes this is a beautiful bird and we have nothing so pretty has this. I like this photograph and you did good getting it. What kind of berries are those?

I just discovered a earlier that two baby robins have left the nest. Or one is still there. I have photographed those and will show them on Monday.

What a lovely photo!! The colors are amazing and the details are delightful. I must have stared at that photo for like 1 minute -- which is a long time. :-)

Great photograph. Somewhere in my slide collection I have a similar image taken about 16 years ago in Brisbane.

Seeing this wonderful image brought back a flood of memories.
