A night at the zoo?

Look at this little ferry arriving at Taronga Zoo, isn't it cute ? The zoo has gorgeous views over the harbour and it's only a 12-mn ride from the city. Here you will be able to pat koalas and kangaroos, and also take a photo of a giraffe with the Sydney Opera House in the background! One of the most exciting programs run by the zoo is called Roar and Snore and involves spending the night at the zoo, camping. You will see all the nocturnal animals in action and then rise to the warbles, rumbles, squeaks, growls and roars of the animals greeting the day. Tempted ?

The bottom photo is absolutely wonderful with the city in the background. Great shot.

let's go to the zoo,
there's lots of things to do...

I've never been to taronga zoo. I've heard it's a wonderful zoo. I'm not really big on the idea of animals in captivity but I guess it's a place to see exotic creatures. Until I go on that African safari one day...

I saw in your pictures only a summer
feeling! We have -28 Celsius this morning.I will go and take a photo from the river, it`s going to be a little different than your landscape :)

Yes!! I'm hopping on a plane first thing in the morning to come visit your zoo! That camping overnight thing sounds like a blast.

My kids have done the overnight thing at our San Francisco zoo when they were younger. They really loved it.
I love the clouds and the colors in your pictures.

Have you ever done the roar and snore? I don't know if I'm tempted or very scared...

Thank you for such lovely photos of the ferry on the harbour with such a threatening sky in the background. Your description of the Zoo and the nocturnal events there was excellent. I had the pleasure of visiting Taronga Zoo a couple of weeks ago, -avec mes enfants qui habite a Londres, Munchen et Basle. La voiture de câble was exciting to ride on especially with the panoramic views over both the zoo and the beautiful harbour.
