The Six Weird Things chain and me

I got tagged. Cergie gave me a mission: I must tell you "six weirds things" about myself and then nominate six poor old souls who in turn will have to undress in public. After that I can just sit back, relax and enjoy the cascading effects. Cool. OK, here goes.

1. I love all things "different". One example: what I love about the first clown above is that he was totally out of synch with the others; when they looked left, he looked right and vice-versa. That's my boy!

2. When I was a teenager I decided once and for all that rings looked dreadful on my sturdy square hands. I never wore a ring since or before.

3. As a corollary to point 2 I don't wear a wedding ring even though I've been married more that 25 years. When A. and I turned up at the French Consulate to get married (that was in Costa Rica, just to make things interesting), we were asked : "do you have the rings?" and we looked at each other, stunned. Neither of us had thought about that! We thought it was hilarious and never tried to "correct" this.

4. I'm a compulsive reader. I read anything that falls under my eyes, especially non-essential stuff such as the 12-month old newpaper I use to wipe my paintbrushes clean when I do some painting.

5. I have a contradictory mind. I love freedom but I believe in rules. I believe in rules but I love freedom.

6. I hate chains. Especially when I'm told that I'll be cursed till the 7th generation if I don't forward the message in the next 15 minutes. But not only those.

In view of the above (my contradictory mind, my love for freedom, my hatred for chains) I have unilateraly decided not to tag anyone. You won't get six names from me. I'd love to keep this fun game going, but on a voluntary basis. So this is my message : if you are so enclined and have the time, please go on and tell us "six weird things" about yourself. If you decide to take on the challenge, please let us know in the comments section below, so we can all go and read you. We'd love to be entertained and get to know you better. Keep the spirit up!
-------------

Bon alors on y va.

AHAH !

L'esprit contradictoire, j'aime, bien vu !

wow imagine - I know more about you now than I know about people in my life haha - that was great - I enjoyed it totally and I completely agree with you on appreciating the uniquenes and difference in life - the appreciation for freedom and the appreciation for rules, although some rules I do not follow because I think freedom to choose bears more weight than the rule on freedom - your ring story is interesting - I have a greek ring I dont like to wear so I wear it on my necklace - thanks for sharing - and to share it in two languages is even more impressive!!!

Sally, I'm delighted that you're taking up the challenge

Kala I'm delighted - I think you should take up the challenge !

Pod - ah, interesting fingers you've got !

POD - WHAT ????

Pod, this photo was taken at the Central Coast Truckies for Kids festival in Gosford a few months back but these clowns circulate pretty much throughout the region wherever there is a fair.

Nathalie, thanks for sharing weird things about you... I somehow figured you were weird, but the square hands confirme it. ;-)

Good luck in the 2007 Photobloggies Award.

I got a slighty different meme from this where you have to say five things interesting but one is NOT true -- mine is at http://ackworthborn.blogspot.com/2007/01/truth-meme.html Not had too many comments so not got round to revieling the true falsie yet.
