This morning, 7:30

This photo is just an hour old. Each Tuesday I drive my husband to the station for the 7:18 train and on the way back I almost always take a little detour along the river. It's peaceful and the morning light is usually beautiful. I love the peeling bark of this large gum tree and if you look closely you'll see a duck perched up there. See, it's not that rare! (remember this one?)

I think I would also take a side trip to see scenery like this. Great shot with the morning light.

Nice, and for me (never having been to Australia) surprising picture. And you refer to the ducks (saw your comments on Oliver's blog this morning)! No alligators around?

Je comprends que tu fasses le detour. Parfois on a besoin d'un peu de calme. Et l'eau peut nous le donner.

Beautiful morning! And it doesn't look like nearly-winter!

This is indeed a lovely, serene scene. Morning light is the best!

I have been searching everywhere for that bad little duck. One takes one's eye off them and before one knows it one of them has flown to Sydney.
With sunshine like this, who could blame a duck?
Here in Adelaide, an old Aussie saying is, "Good weather for ducks,,," meaning that it is raining cats and dogs !!
Perhaps the french would say that it is raining guillotines, non ? Perhaps not.

Very nice colors for this picture.

Wow. Such a placid scene. Nice. It reminds me of some deep places in the south near swamps.

I posted a picture today of the feeding process of robins. It is a series.

This is perfection. The gum trees, more than anything else, say Australia to me. I miss them. This makes me homesick for my time in Oz. A beautiful photograph. Perfection.

At first, many thanks for your kind comments in my blog. I can say, that I really enjoy long days and light nights, as you said!
And then, I also understand very well
why you are taking a detour, when I look at this serene picture.
And your photo about the cliff makes me dizzy, wonderful place!

After getting shorter days start to get longer :)), remember that!

So typical a scene that we love. But remember "one canard doesn't make a summer" (tongue in cheek)
Our Cultural Stomp: belly dancers galore - well, so, so, and other artists and ethnics were special. (newcastle julia)

A very peaceful shot. It would be a great place to sit with a book on a lazy day :)

These ducks are beginning to assume mythical qualities. This one looks more like a moorhen to me, but that's still a kinda duck, although It's feet are a bit different, although still webbed. I still think the whole business of tree ducks needs investigation.
Anyway it's a peaceful setting - mornings are my favourite times

its nice to see these types of photos - something a little different from your other postings and displays the diversity of the landscape in Sydney - morning does show some beautiful light - i would not have noticed the duck had u not mentioned it - great eye!
