Glow-in-the-dark Noodle Market

If you drive or walk (I suggest you walk) along Hyde Park this week at night, you'll see hundreds of red lights glowing under the trees - a magical sight. It's the Night Noodle Market, an event organised by the Sydney Morning Herald as part of the Good Food Month. You choose a dish from the dozens of stalls lined up near the Archibald fountain and eat at one of the tables set under the trees. Dishes start at A$7. When I got there last Thursday, it was close to 10pm and the staff was packing and cleaning: too late ! But it's on again this week and the next, Monday to Friday from 5pm to 9pm until October 20th. I'll try to go back. Learn more…

Do you have a China town in Sydney ? There are many Chinese eat outs here in Chennai run by Chinese. Not all Chinese restaurants are run by Chinese here. Calcutta has a China town.

Beautiful picture Nathalie.

I wanted to thank you for joining Fanpop and adding your amazing photo blog to the site! It's a really nice addition and I hope that more people will find your photos through it. I wanted to personally welcome you, but also encourage you to make sure that on top of adding your photo blogs to the Daily Photo Spot, to make sure you add them to their relevant country or city spots as well. Michael has already set a great example!

Fanpop is all about having people who are passionate about different interests help to find the best content on the web for each of those topics and finding community with others who share those passions. By adding your brilliant photos to their country or city spots, you help others who love that country or city to find them. Here are just a few examples:

San Francisco

And if you don't see your favorite country or city represented, then create a new spot for it! And make sure you add other links that you find useful for that local country. And invite others who share your passion for those places to join as well! Fanpop is all about community building and collaboration, so it's not meant to be done alone...just like all you Daily Photo bloggers coming together! And I'm sure you'll find other interesting content on there as well. Let others know who you are and join a few spots and add some of your favorite local websites! Be careful can be addictive!

Looking forward to seeing you all there. And keep on shooting those magnificent photos around the world! :)

Wow! I really like this photo. I remains me of a couple of movies... I can not recall their names right now, but Oone had "The Red Lantern..." as part of the name, and the other was something like "Man, Woman, Drink and Eat" or something like that.
