Rowing at sunrise

I'm off on a walk along the water's edge at 6am when I come across these girls rowing on the bay. The two boats have just turned around in Darling Harbour and the girls are listening to their coach's instructions for the next run. Then they notice me taking pictures of them and they're delighted. We exchange a few words, we are no more than a few feet apart. They tell me they have been on the water since 5:15 this morning. I am amazed, the sun hasn't even hit the water yet! But its golden rays are already illuminating the buildings above, creating bright reflections contrasting with the blue shadows in the foreground.

Hi Nathalie - great morning shot, wish I was there!

I think Zannies coments about Edith Piaf is to do with something in another film although I am not sure, that's why I included a link to more info. No harm done but I can understand getting the histry bit correct.

Natalie, This is a nice photo!

It was the quote in the film "My Summer of Love- UK film for EU film festival, no harm done...
i found it strange then curious and start to look up about it...

Hope it didn't upset you too much...along the way I found out she knitted pullover for all her two lovers, another DP told me that after the post... I'm sure she's a very passionate and nice French lady:) U too...

Hi Nathalie, thanks for correcting the record about Edith Piaf.

You are an early riser, I surmise. And you know the American idiom early birds catch the worm . You got a nice photo.

When I first arrived in Sydney 4 years ago, I met a (French) girl who told me she was rowing early mornings at 5am before going to work. I couldn't believe it and was highly impressed.
Here is the proof those crazy rowing girls exist!
Well Nathalie, when do you join?
