Blackberries in Sydney

On Friday before the ferry parade I followed the spectacular North shore coastline to Bradley's Head, a fantastic walk. On this tiny beach tucked away in Mosman at the foot of Taronga Zoo I found some blackberries! I had no idea they grew in the wild here. They bring back such strong memories of my childhood summers in Brittany... Anyway there you are, just when I thought I knew a few things about Sydney, I realise I know nothing...
I wish you a pleasant Sunday. Will you be watching the Australian Open grand final today (Federer vs Gonzalez) ? We will !

A vos télés !

Another few weeks and the rest of those yummy berries will be ready. Love learning about Sydney on your blog.

I love these blackberries soooo much more than the ones so many business men are addicted to these days*. For those who know what I am talking about, have some fun watching this, it will certainly ring a bell!

* Blackberry is a trademark for a personnal portable organiser offering phone-calendar-email-web browsing services all in one.

Blakberry pie is magnificent, Nathalie, but ----. Ther blackberry bush has proved sch a major menace in Australia's climate that it's been declared a noxious weed. Before eating the fruit, it might pay to be sure the patch hasn't been sprayed with poison?

I knew about lantana being a pest Norman, but I hadn't realised the blackberries were widespread enough to be a real danger, I'd never seen them before. No poison warning signs around that beach in Mosman anyway...

Pourtant, Gonzalez a remarquablement joué.

Yes Terra Vecchia, Roger Federer won once again, and so admirably. Can't believe he never lost a set in the whole tournament. But I enjoyed Gonzalez's game tremendously too...

I loved that tennis match and was very happy federer won, and would have been equally as happy if Gonzales had won - they both seem like nice people too!
Probably don't see too many blackberries because of vigilant eradication!
