Men at work #3

Every Wednesday morning I teach French in this building. Last week, I found a window cleaner on my way. I just love Australian men in shorts.
Now I wasn't sure which of these two photos to post, so I'm showing them both. Can you tell me which one you prefer, and why?

I definitely prefer close-ups, but I also like the reflection on the second photo. I hope you did not startle the man!! Safety first, you know!!

I like the first one better, close up is the way to go on this shot.

I like the close-up photo a tiny bit better. But I like the two oranges that coordinate in the second shot.

I like the second picture.
Like the reflection of the building on the glass!

Both are great photos Nathalie but I also prefer the one with the reflected orange building.
I loved your story yesterday and the pretty pink house. Waiting for the next instalment of your histoire.

I much prefer the second one. I like how it gives scale to the figure, the composition is more balanced and the the oranges of the building and figure echo each other really well.

I préfère the deuxième, because l'orange reflexion in les fenêtres.

I prefer the photo depicting both large and small splashes of orange.
I'm also thankful this guy's shorts are not as ill-fitting as....well, I don't even want to go back there (shudder).

I love these shots!

The second I love the most because of the scale of it. The reflection of the orange building and that tiny man in orange and his reflection and the shapes and lines...So much to look at but never busy. The composition is fantastic.

And yes, I agree with you.

The second one. The scale. I like it.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

En écrivant "I teach Grench" et "I love Australian men in shorts", le tout sur internet, nul doûte que tu vas te découvrir tout un tas de nouveaux élèves...! La deuxième pour moi.

C'est incroyable,le même orange!
Je préfère la seconde pour cette coïncidence;

I, too, like the second better. Both are so cool. You are funny! Tomorrow I'm also posting something I admire in a man.

Its hard to choose. I like each one for different reasons. The first for all the interesting reflections behind the window washer and the second for the scale and the bold color reflections.

I don't have anything to add really. I like them both for the reasons everyone's given.
I'm now going to teach English but in a completely different sort of building...

I have a "thing" for muscular, tanned legs, so I am happy with the first photo ;-)

OT I have a question for the Teacher - one time I learned a French expression about "being too broke to shop at Fauchon", but I can't remember it now and it drives me crazy. Can you help?

Ugh ! Grand sorcier a parlé...

Cergie, tu m'as fait rire !

Many many thanks to all for your comments and personal views. Counting your votes, it's quite clear that the 'twos' have it !

Isabella, the expression must be 'trop fauchée pour aller chez Fauchon'

Maxime delivered the most thorough analysis of the reasons why the second photo was the best. If you want a translation, just ask me !

The thing is, this shot was not a well-thought balanced composition, it was an emergency photo: The guy started from the top of the building and whizzed down the facade at incredible speed. I scrambled out of my car and ran towards him while grabbing my camera... and just caught him before his disappeared behind the tree below. This was actually an action shot !

I will make no further comment on my running for Aussie men in shorts LOL
