Yeah yeah

Sussex Street. I walk past this place every day as I come out of the office. The pink Yeah Yeah poster has been there for months, advertising a long past concert. But the tag on the garage door is new, appeared just a few days ago. I'm sure it was done in response to the poster : the sideways glance, the matching pink lips... isn't it obvious? I think it's brilliant! Now over to you: what would you say the pink-haired character is thinking?

Sussex Street.

I think the pink haired character is thinking "you shouldn't be doing that right here!!!" Great timing on getting this shot with the poster next to it.
On a separate note Ann who left you a comment and a poem the other day she is my significant other-she is always very thoughtful of others.

I like this kind of tag. it very is successful. what is what makes you think that it is a catch and not a woman? thus by argumentativeness for me it is a young lady. The lady pink (homage to Barbara cartland; O)) think: is what my catch in green will offer to me of the white Roses for the festival of the women.

I think he's thinking, mmm, I love the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and I'm so glad my lips look like Karen O's.

Oh my, Ruth, you're right! Your link is fabulous, it's exactly that! I'd never heard of the Yeah Yeah Yeah before but suddenly it all makes sense!

Now a note to every visitor : please click on Ruth's name above and go visit her site. Her new series of photos of frozen Lake Michigan are stupendous! I mean, who wants to look at tagged garage doors in Sydney when you can could look at her extraordinary snowy landscapes instead? So PLEASE, drop everything you're doing and go there NOW.

Foncez. Maintenant.

!

And another bit of trivia about that. The ad in that link was directed by Spike Jonze, and apparently he and Karen O had a thing for a while.

Thank you for the super duper plug!! :D

Oops, I don't want to confuse anyone. I signed in with my blogger url last time, and that would link to a different blog, which I'd be happy for folks to visit, but they won't find the snowy Lake Mich. photos there.

(this was not intentional self promotion.)

Very funny photo and commentary. Apparently the artist has the same feeling as you do about the poster.
