Conceptually brilliant?

On the corner of Pitt and Bent Streets is a stylish cafe, 8@Bent Street. The self-proclaimed "cafe lifestyle magazine" Crema gives it the following rating (out of 5) : Coffee: 4 - Food: 4 - Ambience: 4. Here is Crema's comment: ' Conceptually brilliant, perfecto espresso, and the atmosphere a choice of lifestyle not to mention the food and the organic Pinot Noir, time to live the CBD again.' Is that more your style than yesterday's pub?

If I may, I'd like to make a comment on your translation of "the atmosphere a choice of lifestyle". In French, "une déco séduisante" implies it's an atmosphere you do appreciate...
Why not after all. But I thought you'd much prefer the old fashion pubs' ambiance. No offence, but the reader could be a bit lost here.

Well, okay, I am quibbling here. But you know me, it's for the sake of getting the things right ;-)

Having said that, I am impressed by the way you managed to post everyday petty good shots while you are miles away from home. Bravo, you're a photoblog Maistro!

Sadly, bv, the Pub's "old fashion" ambience in yesterday's post is merely ersatz. Perhaps not quite as trendified as some of the othernearby pubs, but it's only a matter of degree.

I miss the old style pub atmosophere very much, but given the pretend nature of the pub's "old fashion" approach, give me the coffe shop any day.
