The tail end of the tale

I was curious to know how many of you were familiar with the Qantas logo, the white kangaroo in a red triangle. Alice came in first but many of you recognised it too. Australia's national airline is currently in the midst of a privatisation turmoil. In the mean time, the men were opening an electric box so well concealed in the aircraft's tail that I had no idea it was there until they lifted the trapdoor. Qantas, which carries out extensive maintenance checks on all its aircraft, is one of the safest airlines in the world.

Safe is very good!! It's a bright, distinctive paint job, and i like it and the photo.

The only major airline [as those who've seen the movie "Rainman" might recall] which has never had a fatality. When Qantas played "Rainman" on their flights, they cut that scene from the movie because they didn't want to un-nerve passengers who were transferring to a different airlines on their next leg.

That's NOT a cut I'd have made had I been in charge.

what i like is their frequent flyer points. for short routes, they still give you a minimum of 1000 points!

i think i have enough points for a one way trip to sydney! better accumulate more points so i can come back to Singapore! haha...
