Joy and Peace to the World

We are one, but we are many, and from all the lands of earth we come... This famous Australian song which would deserve to be the country's national anthem celebrates unity and diversity. Look at this photo and see how many ethnic origins you can see - it's stunning. It's an ordinary public school in Sydney. It's our global village. Could there be a better message for Christmas ? Joy and Peace to the world.

Thanks to all of you for your wonderful comments; Yes I am having a delightful Christmas with my husband's family (a very large one,24 we were for dinner). The weather in the alps is fantastic, very sunny and yes, white, even if the snow cover is very thin. Love to you all !

For those of you who noticed that Sally and I had a similar photo, it was taken the day we had lunch together, as we were walking down the street; Sally knew the teachers and had a chat to them and we were allowed to take a shot of the kids.

Oh yes indeed. So similar - kids everywhere. Sydney or Gorbio - all the same.
